WW: Am I Losing Weight Too Fast?

lose-weight-too-quicklySo I started Weight Watchers on 1st August. I weighed in today (1 month later) , and I’ve lost a total of 17 pounds. The first three weeks I did lose a fair amount, but I’ve read that’s normal. My WI this morning showed that I had lost two pounds from last week. Again, I’ve read that’s normal.

It just seems like that’s a lot in one month (basically) to lose. I always use all my daily points, but I try not to use all my weekly allowance points. I do also Jazzercise at least 4 days a week, but usually it’s 5 days a week. I just want to make sure that I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing, so I can lose the weight permanently. I certainly don’t feel like I’m starving myself. Plus, I can definitely feel that I’m getting stronger and getting more energy. What do you think?

Answers:

WOW! Depending on how much you have to lose probably depends on how fast you will loose it. I would be concerned if you don’t have much to loose and lost 17 pounds already in a month, but sounds like your doing great with your points and activity! Good job! Sounds like the program is working fantastic for you! I have only been loosing about 2 pounds a week.

That is great!

I don’t think that is unhealthy or anything. Congratulations!

Sounds okay to me.

you always loose faster in the beginning, esp if you have a lot to lose. Just don’t expect it to always be this fast. Doesn’t sound like you will but just wanted to throw it out there.

Depending on how much you weigh, and how bad you were eating before will depend on how much you will lose. Everyone is different. Good Job for losing 17bs! It also was 5 weeks and not 4. But, don’t get discouraged when the weight loss starts slowing down.
